Scholarship Initiative
Where Does 1 + 1 = $1,000?
The WOFAS Scholarship Initiative lets you receive money
for tuition while doing something you love. To participate in the program,
all you need to do is ride ONE Day Tour for 6 hours (6 am to 12 pm or
12pm to 6pm) ONCE a week for a semester. The $1,000 you are awarded is
paid directly to your school’s financial office (college, university,
or vocational school) at the start of the semester. Here are some of the
simple rules and regs:
1. You need to be 18 years old and an experienced NJ EMT or NREMT with
a good driving record.
2. You’ll need to commit to the full semester through a written
contract with WOFAS.
3. Attendance and punctuality are essential.
4. For insurance reasons, you must apply and be accepted for membership
in WOFAS. Applications are accepted throughout the year.
5. You will need dark blue pants and appropriate footwear. WOFAS will
supply squad polo, sweatshirt, and jacket.
WOFAS is one of the busiest all-volunteer squads in the
state with a high call volume and an excellent reputation for patient
care. Our ambulances and equipment are new and well maintained. Our members
love what they do and enjoy serving the township together.
If you’re a student and an EMT, let’s help
each other while you complete your education.
